Tershishner Area: Trails in the Tershishner area on the north side of Highway 11, across from the Bighorn Dam, are temporarily closed to allow for late snow melt/runoff to occur and trails to re-harden.

Bighorn Dam: Transalta has commenced maintenance construction on the Bighorn Dam. A large area below and to the north around the main dam will remain cordoned off to the public, including OHV and non-motorized access across the dam to the trails on the south side until July 19.

Construction will be occurring at the Bighorn Dam to make improvements to the rustic camping areas starting in spring 2023 and will continue until fall 2023. This will be a phased construction process so refer to on-site signage to direct you to areas open for camping. Visitors are advised to obey all signage and stay out of the construction areas.
